Women’s Health POCUS Courses

Ultrasound has changed the way we approach Women’s health care services. With the ability to visualize fetal and maternal anatomy, Point-of-care Ultrasound (POCUS) enhances accurate and timely clinical decisions at the bedside.

WHO SHOULD ATTEND THIS COURSE?

This inter-professional course is designed for the Advanced Practice Provider including midwife, nurse practitioner, physician’s assistant or other medical professionals with a desire to learn the fundamentals and basic skills of limited or focused ultrasound in Obstetrics and Gynecology.

It provides both a foundation for beginners and enhancement for more experienced providers.

Women’s OB GYN Point-of-Care Ultrasound for Advanced Practice Provider

This activity is approved for 28.5 contact hours of continuing education (which includes 0 hour(s) of pharmacology) by the American Association of Nurse Practitioners® . Activity ID# 23056076. This activity was planned in accordance with AANP Accreditation Standards and Policies.

Includes all of the modules for both OB and GYN plus 2 days of HANDS-ON TRAINING using live models and ultrasound phantoms professionally manufactured exclusively for Innovated Ultrasound including an ectopic phantom and an IUD, fibroid phantom.

InnovatED Ultrasound is proud to present a custom-designed class that targets basic information and skills needed for Advanced Practice Providers to perform point of care ultrasound for women in an OB/GYN setting.

This course consists of two consecutive days onsite in Nashville, TN. The Women’s POCUS Course includes online didactic sessions created by a doctorally-prepared advance practice nurse-midwife who is also a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer Plus two consecutive days of Sonographer guided hands-on scanning. Each hands-on session is assisted by ARDMS-certified sonographers and educators. Class sizes are limited with a 3 to 1 learner to trainer ratio. Early registration is encouraged.

WHERE WILL THE Hands-on COURSE TAKE PLACE?

Our classroom is located at 4825 Trousdale Dr., Ste 238 in Nashville, TN. Participants must complete the associated On-demand materials prior to attending these sessions.

Note: Fetal anatomy or anatomic survey is NOT covered in this class, since it is not considered a point of care exam. Fetal anatomy reviewed in this class is for identifying landmarks needed for appropriate biometric measurements.
